[ UTM REPROACH]

Problem:

We, students of UTM, came from various of places. Like, the International students came from all sort of countries like Afghanistan, Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Liberia, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Thailand, Yemen and etc. And even the Malaysians, are far away for their homeland. So, most of us, in order to stay close to the university, we prefer to stay in the hostels provided by the university itself. Here the problem starts, students don’t have choice of choosing the hostels, especially the International students. Even if the university have 10 accommodations for students to stay, we, International students, have to stay in hostels like: Kolej Dato Onn Jaafar and Kolej Datin Seri Endon, which are really far away for the University. But this is not the main problem. The problem itself is the Kolej authorities. If we file a complaint about something to the authority, they take forever to take actions. For example, if we complain about switches and fans not working properly, leakage of water and cleanliness of the hostel area, they don’t heed to our complaints. These makes our life difficult inUTM.     

Solution:

Since this system is only for UTM students, so we can use this system as a part of “UTM SMART”. The students of UTM are using this app for attendance, payment and so many things. If we are using this system as a part of this app, students can easily complain about their problem & the authority can act very quickly. So, this system will be very helpful for UTM students. Students will be able to upload pictures, videos for proof. Other students can comment of the post was uploaded in the system.

Target users:

This system will be very helpful for UTM students mostly for international students because sometime international students have to face lot of difficulty when they go to the hostel office and explain the problems they have related to the hostel. Professors and all facility members will be benefited also because of this system. As this system will be handled by higher authorities of UTM, in this way this system will be very efficient. Everyone who is related with this system, they have to finish the task on time because higher authorities always keep eyes on them.
